from a dealer perspective, you have to remember how much of a nightmare these type of problems are for them. On a regular car it's bad, when you add on the question mark of a possibly bad alarm install they don't want to touch it with a twenty foot pole. Add on to that that the car was in an accident, possibly causing the problem as well. Accident repairs are only covered by the body shop's warranty, any related areas that could have possibly been affected by the damage are from there on the responsibility of the owner/bodyshop, the manufacturer has zero liability. I'm sure your work is of high quality, but the dealer doesn't know that. Imagine how many hacked alarms/starters they see.

If you were my customer and you walked into my dealership. First thing I'd say is to get the alarm removed, and from there on you have to agree to pay for the time that the tech spends on the car. If in the end, the diagnosis is that the problem was in fact a warranty matter, unrelated to any bodyshop repair or alarm install, it's free. If not, you gotta pay. The shop has to get paid somehow, either from the manufacturer through warranty or from the customer.

Considering that the customer has been denied by the dealer and he's pretty much screwed, beats me why he won't let you have a look at it

Remove those wires.

Show the dealer the car yourself without the unit installed and BITCH....

You'd be suprised how much gets done when you raise your voice when all else fails.

The only wire that got cut was the starter wire for the anti-grind and starter kill...

Basically the owner does not want to let me see the vehicle for some reason...
</font>
Well if the owner won't let you see the car then it's his problem.

I agree with your statement edgar.

He seems easier to deal with at the moment and on good terms with me, I still have not seen the car however. He has, I quote, "lawered up". He has yet to have the car fixed. The dealership wants somthing like $1500 to fix the car.

That's the last I hear of it. Frankly, I'm confident in my install so it's really out of my hands and I'm not too worried about it. Just trying to keep on good terms with the customer as much as possible without screwing myself...
