Cross-overs in doors

hmmm, so when you say they have the same frame, does that mean that if I find a nice suspention system for a focus it'll bolt up to my mazda 3? I havn't been able to find a nice system for it yet and wasn't going to bother with a cheapo.

I'll take a look at the foam piece you speak of as well.

Mazda's and Ford share some things I do not know where they divide but suspension on the Mazda's feels a lot different than a fords. I would expect same frame, some of the same wiring harness but not all, the same air bag locations, the same mounting points for doors, seats, door skins, dash etc.
Connectors, sheet metal, dash, seats, radios, suspension, engines should be different.

I'm not sure what engines the focus come with, but I'm pretty sure that my 2.3 is the same as the Ford Fusions 2.3

wow, this really got off topic...started talking about cross-overs in door, now we are talking about simularies of ford and mazda....lol
