Deck Output Sensitivity

I've just got my new amp and compared to my old one there are 5 ***** to adjust (Subsonic/Bass EQ/Low Pass/Phase/Level Control)

First, what is a healthy subsonic level from 15-35 hz? is 15 too low? or will it effect my subs in a bad way?

I've figured out all of them except the level control. The manual for the amp states:

It is important to match the amplifier LEVEL input sensitivity to the Radio/CD output sensitivity. This can be located in the Radio/CD manual. If the Radio/CD output sensitivity is 2 volds, then adjust the amp LEVEL input to 2 volts.
Only thing is I went on clarion.com and found the manual to check the output sensitivity, but couldn't figure it out.

Does anyone know what most decks are? Or a place where I can find the number, maybe on the back of my deck or something.

The deck itself is a Clarion VRX755VD

Thanks for any answers.

According to {Clarion VRX755VD - DVD, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3 playback • motorized touch panel display • 18 watts RMS x 4 • SIRIUS Satellite radio controls • Magna Bass EX • TV tuner controls • AM/FM tuner • dual-zone audio capable • remote • changer control - , ), that deck has 2 volt preouts.

subsonic filter:
There is no sense sending power to your subs at a frequency lower than they can work.
15" subs, subsonic @ 20
12" subs, subsonic @ 25
10" subs, subsonic @ 30

Thats my opinion, hope it doesn't start an arguement.

Another factor to consider is your enclosure that you put them in, you dont want to drive your subs to low if your box is tuned a little high, so make sure your low pass is not lower then the box tuning, thats if your box is ported.

Yeah I'm going to have 2 12" in a ported box. 25 will do the trick but theres one thing

my box is obcon

good? bad? I dont know but I got it cheap

the website states (and i absolutely love sales people and the way they act as if their product is revolutionary)

GZ 328 HIGH-PERFORMANCE SERIES 12" DUAL

12" - 14.0"H x 34.0"W x 15.5"D - 1.65 Cu Ft Air Space/Chamber

This is one of the most incredible enclosures EVER produced. Instant bass response is only the first feature of this enclosure. Aluminum Side Panels and 3/4" MDF construction.

"Note to Car Audio Retailers: This enclosure in your store will produce high volumes of sales. Please be careful when ordering as your customers will demand this box!
No idea what it is tuned to, nor do i know how to figure it out. =(

Post the measurements of the port, and someone will figure it out for you....probably at 35 Hz or so tho.
Just turn your filter up until you barely notice a decrease in low bass....back it off a notch and that's where it should be. If you can hear a difference, then it's too high.
