DLS A5 Amp Install Questions
Hopefully you don't get raped with border fees and duties....that takes a good deal and throws it out the window. For the record though, I priced your items at the breakeven point for the store. I could not stretch that extra $25.00 for you to keep it all included when I had to cover 2 shipping charges on top. One from me to you, the other from the distributor to me as it was not even close to a prepaid order. Try to keep your business in Canada, Canada and this industry needs it badly. Every cent that you send to the US directly affects this business and even the people who pay to be on this site.
I am not at the shop right now, I have one set of Premiums left (the current top of the line from them). I might be ordering another dozen sets though in the next week or so, the deal for me is a good one and like you, I can't pass up a good deal.
I will go to the shop if it means that I have the opportunity to earn your business so that I can get you a price on them. Today is the one afternoon (my only afternoon) that I have off, then back to work tonight, so I ideally would like to chill at home for the afternoon.

My credit card was charged $110. That included everything that you quoted for me (except the sound-deadening), as well as 4 ring crimp terminals.
I have been aware of an alternative sound-deadening material, it's origin I'm not at liberty to discuss.
lol. I'm sure some of you guys already know what I'm referring too.

Boston Pro's are great, but only get the current version. MBQ's are great too. Depends how much you love your lady, and how much time you'll be spending in her car. I would not skimp out on the fronts, as everything else you're planning to run is top notch, and anybody will tell you to spend most money on the front components. I would actually throw Diamond Audio Hex into the mix as well, greatest bang for the buck these days. If you want, I have a 6.5" DLS Nobelium components for sale, or Hybrid Audio Clarus set. Look them up for quality and pricing, and P/M me if you want to talk about it.
UPDATE: KnuKonceptz merchandise arrived today. I just got in from work and my hands a still dirty.
Here's pics!
Speaker wire is twisted, 224 OFC strands.

Hard to tell in the pic (damn Facebook pic hosting) but the fuse is 100A.

Uber excited. Unfortunately I might be getting laid-off at the beginning of January. I might have to hold off on getting the actual speakers for a while.
Sorry MR2NR.

I have a question about the 4AWG and how to best attach it to the ends of the fuse holder.
I started doing it already. Just so its done. However, I'm uncertain as to how much of the cable should be exposed. What I've done is remove a length of jacket equal to the depth of the fuse-holder "socket". Not sure if I've removed too much of the jacket though.

The holder came with two small pieces of rubber tube, one is either end. I'm assuming that this piece sits between the cable and the set screw so you don't shred the cable to when you tighten the screw. My concern is that while the fuse it water tighten with the gaskets on the holder, the ends of the cable going into the holder are not sealed. Is that normal?

Update!!!
Thanks to MR2NR!
Purchased this Eclipse 12" SW7200 from him at Forbidden Audio. Will wire the voice coils in parallel for a 2 ohm load. That'll give us 500W from the DLS amplifier.
I know in other posts I had asked for someone to build me an enclosure. I wasn't thinking at the time - my mother's man-friend is a woodworker. I've asked him to help me put one together. Started cutting boards, and putting vents together on Friday afternoon. Now that I actually have the sub, we can cut appropriate holes for mounting and what not, then put everything together. No sure how I'm going to finish the box though, either paint, or carpet.
I'll post a pictures of the enclosure later on.

Canon Rebel XTi. 10MP DSLR. Had for about 2 years now. Awesome camera.
However, I think where the picture is hosted online has something to do with the resulting image quality when you post it on a forum or such. Facebook automatically reduces the resolution (or something to that affect). These last ones were posted on ImageShack.
I have a 2nd lens 70-300mm, made by Sigma. The stock Canon lens is 18-55mm. The telephoto-macro-lens is great, but it needs a lot more light to operate as well as the Canon lens.
I find when using Facebook, if I use Photoshop to change the picture size to the Facebook default size, there isn't such a noticeable degradation in quality.
Hooked up the sub and enclosure to my amp last evening. Might as well break it in for my fiancee since we don't have the amp installed yet. So far so good. It hadn't been sealed yet, so I started that last night. Will finish that up today, wait 24 hours for the silicone to cure, then re-install the sub.
It was a good experience. Made a few design mistakes, hopefully there won't be any adverse effects from them.
