A friend of mine own's a 04 2.0 SX and recently purchased a new deck to install.

I'm just curious if anyone here has had any experience installing aftermarket deck's into any of the 00+ Dodge vehicles (especially the SX/Neon/SRT4) that could answer a few questions.

One being which wiring harness will he need (Kenwood KDC-319).
Is there a piece/cage behind the stock stereo (Found one in my car when installing my alpine that needed to be cut out)
What do the mounting brackets & wiring harnesses cost these days its been awhile since I bought one that I can remember of the price.

I am an owner of a 2005 sx 2.0 and i got a shop to insatll mine but both products above work perfectly

Any word on if there's a cage/plate behind the stock deck as it sits now, or was this only a GM trait? lol

that Jeep/Intrepid mounting bracket will work in the 04 SX?

 

^ You can thank the fine "engineers" at GM for that crap in your dash. The Neon is a cavern in there

 

Oh I believe I've thanked GM more than enough with everything I've upgraded/modded on it so far lol DAMN GM! lol
