DIY: Toyota Camry Door Panel/Front Door Handle
Just thought i'd mention 2 things i use for window cranks (even though we have established that that isnt the reason for this post).
I had some old windshield wipers layin around that i ripped apart. I used the lil strips of steel found on them and just put a lil hook bend on the one end, and bent the rest like a handle to pull with. I put the hook end behind the crank and hook onto the clip and pull. Works every time
The other method only seems to work for some people and that's to put a cloth behind the crank and move it back and for a few times to snag the clip with it, then pull. I have gotten that to work for me, but took quite a bit of playing around.
Another thing to remember is to make sure the car is warm before taking panels and trim off. Cold trim and panels = usually broken. I do this all day for a living, so have plenty of bad experiences in the past. lol
