thanks. I wonder if resin would be enough to stiffin it up.

I had some that I put resin on and it didn't seem to stiffen them up that well so I ended up glassing them

A warning to anyone considering this. There is a real possibility of warping the frame and putting the voice coil out of alignment. It would be better to use a water proof bonding agent like silicone and some plastic patches. Also, it will definitely affect the sound, likely in a bad way.
