Question First timer here kinda confused about install

Hey everyone just registered gettin ready to install a system in my dodge ram. However the guys on ram forumz and even crutchfield themselves just arent that helpful when it comes to systems. THis is what i have
-2 Alpine pdx 1.1000
-2 Alpine type x 10 inch subs
-2 Full amp wiring kits
-Alpine 6x9s type r (front)
-Alpine 6.5 inch type r(frear)
As of now door speakers arent amplified just ran of my kenwood deck. BUt i know ill have to eventually amp them too. Anyways in regards to my amp and sub install what exactly do i need. My buddy whos a mechanic and installed a few systems seems to think if i just upgrade to an optima yellow top things should run alright maybe add a cap to help the lights from dimming. Then i was told ill need the big 3 , a cap, and a powercell battery too.

Any help what ever turns out to be easiest and well price would be decent too.

Thanks ,
Confused

Wellll couple questions for you are what size is your wire kits what is the year of your dodge in this case people will say do what you can afford, I would do your system without new bat and without big three and see what it dous, if your lights dimm and your battery suck you will now know where to upgrade,

Depend son your goals, if you just want to play yoru system while driving around, just run the power wire you have now and do the big 3 and see how it is like that instead of buying a bunch of stuff you might not need.

Thanks guys ...i think right now im gonna just do an optima yellow top and not worry about a new alternator or cap. if it turns out i need to spend a 100 bucks on a cap big woop. And ya its just for driving and maybe an hour or so of music at a bonfire and i dont have a problem with running it.
For KY green i have an 06 ram 1500 hemi and i have 0 gauge wiring kits.

If you know your going to install another amp for the speakers then you should do the wiring for them now so you don't have to redo it. Do a Run of 0 AWG that would be enough for the 2x 1000W and a future 4 channel amp. I would upgrade your battery to a sealed any day of the week just to get rid of the stock battery. Yellow top or Odyssey battery's are awesome. Then if your finding that your dimming with just the 2 amps, or with the addition of the third then upgrade your alternator to a HO.

Caps are waste of money on large systems as they cannot store enough current. Better off putting in a Kinetik or another battery.

If your running a 0 AWG for power to the amps, then a 0 AWG ground to the chassis then your stock battery to chassis ground will be at max 4 AWG so doing the Big 3 would be very smart. no sense on having only half your wiring upgraded to the 0AWG
