I'm wondering if after I install a new head unit in my 2000 GMC, if I'll still have one neat feature of the factory unit; after the ignition key is removed, the radio will continue to play for up to 20 minutes or until a door is opened. If I use a wiring installation kit will this feature work with the new deck? Thanks.

if your door chimes come out of your drivers side speaker yes, there is something that can be done. no is it not cheap, and yes you have no other choice (except doing an ugly pain in the *** t harness install)

anyways if you door chime comes from the drivers side speaker you need a new gm interface kit any shop will have one, they run about 120 bucks (not bad considering t harnesses are 70 and you save yourself a butt load of trouble with the module) you will retain all your chimes and the 20 minutes of play till the door is opened.

ya my moms blazer has that feature, it's really cool, but if thier was a system in the thing. that feature would not help it would just drain your battery just to sit and listen to the radio.

umm is it an apprenticship program. R.A.P. it helps you get in to the desired trade of your choice. it is also cheaper to do this then go to collge with out rap behind you. you have to spend more money for the course so that they'll teach you the basics and i think you get extra rap hours by doing it this way to. but it's much cheaper to do it the rap way.
i'm being a smart ***
