Head Unit Output Cables

Hey Guys,

I connected my RCA Cables for my amp to my head unit. However, there were 3 types of output cables (Yellow, Black & Blue). I connected the RCA Cable to the Blue output cables because on the head unit manual, it said Subwoofer Preamp Output.

The others said Rear and Front Preamp Output. The manual can be found here: http://www.dualav.com/i/product/manual/xdm7610.pdf and it is on page 3 of that.

Can you tell me if i hooked it up right? I don't want to turn the thing on and have it blow up.

Thanks!

Looks right to me. You're amp is powering a subwoofer I presume? Leave the gain at the lowest setting when you power it up, then adjust it once your sure its working.

Yes it's powering 2 12" subs.

Sorry for the noob question, but what do you mean by gain?

Ummmm, the sub output goes to the sub amp? The front output goes to the front amp? And the rear output goes to the rear amp?
Now what do I do with the right channel?

Too much time on my hands....

He's trying to call you a noob in his own way.. For someone who claims to have time on his hands, he should've been able to come up with something better then that
