like i said before, the amp stil pushes the sub with the rcas out, could this be because i have the amp also connected to the speaker wires coming from the deck?

 

If you have the speaker wires running to your amp, you are running a high level input to your amplifier which is giving your amp the signal.

I looked up your deck and it says that it has a selectable rear/subwoofer output. The sites I visited didn't mention that it has an auxillary input.

 

yea i think ill have to look for another deck which has aux in and sub rca connetors so i can do both an amp and an external mp3 player

 

can i use something like this, but one that would fit my mp3 player...if i can find one

The link you posted doesn't work. I have heard good things about clarion head units. Heres one I looked up that seems decent. I'm looking for others to also post some good units.

It has 3 outputs (rear/front/sub I'm assuming) and an auxillary input which you could hook your mp3 player up to with the correct cable.
