what Chris said... wiring is not a joke... if that happened at my shop I would have explained that this uis just a temporary fix to get you by..but a FEW days later? hmmm something isnt right with them needing the car for so long..it is ONLY a few wires.. but price would guess about right.... minimum $50/hour even at that price it would only be 6hours labour

 

well, the result of round two is that they won't touch it

a couple days ago my passenger side power window stopped working as well, which led me to a great discovery, if I push the boot together, everything works, apart, only the window works (and after that last time, I'm hesitant to use it). Even given that the problem is definitely related to the boot, they're not getting near it.

They say now that it was a temporary fix, wish they could have done that $300 ago. Before it was simply a, hey we can fix it, this is how much it will cost you (and I payed nearly double the original quoted price). When I went there today, they claimed that the guy that did the work went on vacation, even though I saw him there earlier in the day, and spoke to him on the phone afterwards, and I'm sure if I went there tomorrow, he would be there as well.

Given the above, the shop is Auto Sound Design on Steeles Ave w. Can't say I'd go back there

 

WTF- did they contact you and tell you it would cost 2x the origional quote and why before they did the work ???

I'd be calling back yet agian, expecting an appointment as soon as buddy gets back from his 'vacation'

Forget about calling BBB or ing bad word of mouth... make sure the owner gets the message that if he dosen't make it right, you will see him in court.

This is probably the only way you will get any results... if you don't... I really would take the matter to court !

Maybe its not worth your time, but I think you've been taken for a ride... even though 3 bills aint a ton of cash, its the principle of it all...
