Thanks for your help.
I will let you know how the FM modulator works for me, it probably wont....
In the meantime I will try to figure out what "RCA" and "HU" mean...
Remember I am electronically challenged..

HU = Head Unit --- cd player, tape deck, radio etc
RCA = refers to the cables that transmit low-voltage signals from one component to another (ie from HU to amp)

I have an FM modulator for my Ipod and i can't bear to listen to it. I'd go straight from the Ipod to a small amp as others have mentioned.
