Honda Pilot sub replacement
I was wondering if anyone has done any install work on a Honda Pilot. I am thinking of putting a sub in my pilot. I am planing on using the factory location (which is empty). I want to keep a factory look.
thanks

I did one last summer. Space is somewhat limited, but I did manage to get a JL 10-W1 in there.
I remember it being a problem fitting some of the drivers I would have prefered to use....Ummm...the Pioneer 10" would not fit., so I'd suggest having the interior panel removed when you shop for a sub, so you can try the fit.
Had to beef up the baffle a bit with MDF ( sorry, forget the thickness), and seal up the enclosure with expanding foam, dynamat, and good old duct tape.
It turned out fairly well.....not huge output, but decent, and totaly stock appearance.

I think there is enough space to put a pioneer 10 shallow mount or a clarion shallow mount as the depth should is only 3 inches. From what I read on the forums the depth goes from 4.25 to 4 or something like that. I will more the likely get a local shop to install my system.
thanks for verifying that it can be done. Was is a really pain to get the truck apart to get into the enclosure area?
