How do you become a installer

I was wondering if there was anyone in Ottawa, Ontario who would be able to tell me how to become a installer for car audio. I have a little experience on my own vehicle such as head unit, speakers, amps, and subs. I am looking to become a installer as I enjoy working on cars and enjoy the car audio. So if anyone can give me information about how to get into the car audio it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Cody Allen

If you have a little experience and a lot of enthusiasm then I suggest you hit the box stores like Future Shop. They are more likely to take on a junior installer and the volume of basic work you will get is invaluable experience. Most independents need their installers to be too productive to really give a new guy a shot.

Be positive, be confident, but don't be cocky - you want to show you'll learn your *** off, not that you know it all already (which another installer can tell in a hearbeat if you do or don't)
