I recently purchased a double din in-dash DVD player from a local vendor in the Hinesville/Fort Stewart, GA area. He told the head unit would work with my OEM speakers and amplifier. After departing the area for Wisconsin the speakers started making hissing and cracking noses. I have been told everything from replace all the speakers, replace the amplifier, as well as replace the speakers and amplifier. What can I can do just short of placing the OEM radio back into my vehicle? Can I purchase a 5-ch amplifier and allow the amplifier to work as a impedance coupler for the head unit and speakers? I really need your help before I throw anymore money away.
