the best way to install them is to leave them in the box. i had 4 and they did nothing. but if you must.

try and keep less than 18 inches of wire between the amp and the cap. PULL OUT YOUR BATTERY FUSE. ground the negative side seperate from everything else and just run the cap in line from the battery to the amp. cut the wire 15 or so inches from the amp and put a connector on the wire and screw them on. you should have 1 wire coming off the negative side of the cap and 2 wires on the possitive side. This is the easiest way of doing a single cap setup i think. The cap will charge automatically when you put your fuse back in.

but seriously i would consider not installing a cap because they are the most misunderstood and incorrectly used car audio accessory around.

Remember if you rapidly charge or discharge a cap you will draw and arc and that can mar pretty gold/ brass plated connections.

what is YOUR reason for using the cap? If you have upgraded the big 3, installed a battery such as an optima yellowtop, added a higher output alternator, and STILL have electrical problems then it probably wouldn't hurt to use a cap.

I was thinking about getting a new car but I decided to get a Mr.turtle pool for my kids..

A cap is not a replacement for a poor electrical system.. Why is a cap still the most misunderstood product. Also where do people learn this stuff?

caps look cool. But a battery is a much better upgrade, for only about 20-30% more. I managed to get my yellow top for 110 bucks. each cap was around 80-85. just think about your %gain. I was a retard and got 4 caps when i started off. with that i could have gotten 3 stinger batteries. just think of the difference of juice. common sence.

For clarification...a cap will probly not hurt your setup any (unless you hook it up wrong--never done that so not sure what would happen) but there are much better ways to improve your current supply.

Actually a cap will hurt a system over all if the electrical system cannot support itself. If you have a system that draws to much current for the electrical to keep up the cap will make it worse...
