Just Wondering.....

Hi I am new to this and I was building my box for the back of my Jeep TJ, I have two 8 inch rockford fosgate subs and a clarion amp, I wanted to mount my amp in between the two subs, like sub, amp, sub on the same box to save space, since there is not much space to work with in a Jeep. When I went to install the amp I was reading the instructions and it said not to install it on the sub box due to vibrations is this true? What would happen if I did do it this way as I don't know where else to install my amp.

you made a typo i believe,
When I went to install the sub I was reading the instructions and it said not to install it on the sub box due to vibrations is this true? What would happen if I did do it this way as I don't know where else to install my amp.
you meant amp correct?

while i cannot say for sure on the issue, i mounted my amp to the sub box, although both times the amp died while it was attached lol, but it was very likely due to overheating/not enough voltage, and to much gain!

i wouldn't be worried about it personally.

you could always find a vibration dampener, like some rubber and just put it between the amp and the box. I have always mounted my amps directly to the back of my sub boxes and have never had any issues because of that but if the amp manufacturer states that in the documentation it is probably for a reason.

ALOT of amp manufactures state in there manuals to NOT mount to sub boxes and its because of the vibrations and what they can do to internals. Mounting then on the top with rubber gromets or something would get rid of alot of those vibrations though.
