kickpanels and install work

Hey guys,

I am doing a new build for a new car. I picked up a set of Mpyre 65M and would like to have kick panels for them.

Anyone or any shops in kitchener waterloo area capable of making kick panels?

I also need some help with tuning.

Thanks,

Neil

It's all about PLDs (Path Length Differences). Kick panels are generaly your best bet to getting each speaker at a similar distance from your ears as they are one of the furthest points you can install speakers into in a car.

As for legroom, well, it's not that bed. I'm 6'4" with size 13 feet driving a standard transmission with 4" mids in the kick panels sticking out and I don't find them bothersome.

for some cars kicks aren't even an option. I am slowly installing kicks in my SVT and they really reinforce the midbass, allow for a larger midbass driver, keep reasonable PLD, and dont really adversely affect shifting on my 6 speed manual. Though if the car had the ford parking brake in the kick panel region it would prevent the use of kick panel speakers. I am always wondering where the kick is in relation to my left foot.

ah the reason I want kicks is my door panel only allows 4" speakers and I don't want to ruin the asthetics.

I also plan on having a 3 way system, 4" midrange, 6.5" midbass and tweets

Kickpanels will also allow for a sealed enclsoure... the doors will never seal properly

when i install the midranges in the door i will have a bafel to make a sealed enclosure as well.
