I have a Zapco AG750 with a loud cooling fan I've siliconed the bearings and still no luck, do you guys know where I could pick up another 12v fan?

Also, it's only running my 4ohm component set could I unplug the fan temporarily?

Thanks

I have a Zapco C2K-6 and only one of the two fans was working out of the box (new retail purchase!) and that fan is stinking loud

What size is the fan? Might be able to get a quiet computer fan like a panaflo or a pabst.

It's smaller than a CPU fan maybe two inches wide 1/2 an inch thick.

I can find fans to fit my only concern is it says 12volt on the fan so I assume I can't put in anything other than a 12volt fan?

Thanks

You could put in a 24v fan and as long as 12v would kick it on it would spin at 1/2 speed. Anything lower than a 12v fan could burn out from the extra voltage.

www.bigfootcomputers.com has a good selection of 12v fans, some really quiet ones too. If noise is a concern I would look into spending 5-10 bucks instead of a cheapo $2 fan that probably won't be much quieter.
