hey guys, just curious if anyone used this port length calc, and how did you find it worked for you?
Also just curious when it does give you the length of the port, do you find the displacement of the port and add it to the origonal box size? Or do you just put that port into the box, and calc no displacment?
example. (not real)
i have a 6 cubic ft box, and i give the port dimensions H=9inches, W=3.5inches.
calculated length=6.75inches.
now once i do find the displacement, do i add that to the 6 cubft box, or do i build the 6 cubs, plus the port?

if you figure it out to 6 cubft then add the port. but if you are doing a caculation for determining this(without using a program) then you will need to find the driver displacement too and take that into consideration too. just find yourself a good program that does it for you already. also remember that this is inside area, not out side. you will need to take into account all the thicknesses of the wood and bracing and other things like that.
email me if you need a helping hand. i might be able to help you out a little bit more.
