Maximizing play time with vehicle off
Hey guys, new member here, nice to meet you all. I come with a install question that I'm having a hard time finding a definitive answer too. Bare with me, I'm not exactly a professional.
Alight so here the situation. I've got a project camper van I'm working on right now. Pretty tame sound system set up by your guys standards but there's one key issue I'm trying to figure out. I want to set it up so that i can listen to music for as long as possible without turning the van on. Additionally it would be nice not to worry about having dead battery's and trying to get it started later. I know you can rig up multiple battery's with an isolator so that you don't drain your main battery. This is great but, my spare battery will only power my amps. I want my secondary battery to power the entire system. My issue has nothing to do with dimming headlight or anything like that. I just want It leave the stereo playing for a good part of the day without babysitting it
TL : DR How can i hook up an extra battery to my set up so that it powers all components of the sound system, doesn't kill my main battery, and with be charged by the alternator? Am i better off just running them parallel and forget about isolators and crazy wiring?
Thanks for any and all help!
