Is a MRP-M500 enough to run 10" type r ??

I have purchased a mrp m500 amp (got it for $40) and now I need a sub. I want a single type r 10" but I don't know if this amp is enough, i thought about a type E also. I don't want anything crazy loud at all just good sound with some noticeable bass. Thanks a lot!!!

Hey. Well, if you have the current generation 4 ohm DVC Type R, you can wire to a 2 ohm load and get 500 watts RMS running the sub which will be enough to get some serious bump.

Although that sub will take 1000 RMS, 500 will still get you bumping safely, and setting the gain properly for the type of music you listen to and the volume etc, it won't be too loud. You can make it shake everything if you wanted to, but definitely can adjust everything to get some awesome, tight bass. The a type r is an awesome sub.

The newest Type S could also be a great option for that amp. It's rated to take 500 watts RMS, so it would be perfect for your amp. I've heard the new Type S is like the older Type R.

I had a 12" Type R with that same amp and it was a perfect little setup. I've heard a type r with 1,100 watts hitting it and it was so intense lighting a cigarette was difficult b cause the flame would either go out or shake around lol. Good luck!
