MTX ReQ5 - Install at front or rear of car?
Trying to figure out where I should install this device.
I would REALLY prefer to put it in the rear on the amp rack where I have existing power connections, but I am also debating putting it under my dash.
Mounting it at the rear means running 4 pairs of twisted speaker wire from the dash to the device in the back, while at the front means running 2 sets of RCAs to the back.
The speaker wire would carry a higher voltage (speaker level from the deck) so less prone to interference, while the RCAs would be alot lower at about 2.5v but shielded.
What are the odds that interference would be introduced in either scenario?

Yeah, that's what I've come to the conclusion on.
I didn't realize the device draws such little power, so there is no need to have it at the back of the car with the amps. It can draw power from the same wires the stereo does.
Just ordered some Stinger shielded 4 channel RCAs to run from the front to back.
