My Amp Install
The Before picture (i forgot to post this first time around)
this is my amp mounted to the back of my old speaker box with the cathode in front of it..
Here is a pic of my new amp install..
I made a amp rack on about a 60 degree angle out of mdf. I covered the whole rear deck, and removed the stock speaker covers and only cut for the seatbelts.. I have a few more modifications to make such as pulling the material tighter at the top / installing a red cold cathode (Over top and hidden) to highlight, and maybe someday put the front of the amp back on unless i design a new one for it.
I was thinking on glassing it but i like the airflow the material lets through.
Oh ya it took me and a friend roughly 2.5 hours total, thats removing the seat / rear deck, seat belts at the bottom, completing the wire install in behind the rear trim and then putting the material in and tucking it where ever we could, mounting the amp then mounting the seat.

Just a suggestion if i may...
Cool idea, what i sould do it keep the amp mounted just how it is, (im assuming its %100 solid) THEN pull the cloth tight and tack it down, so you get tight edges all the way around. Dont be afraid to pull and streach.

I put the mdf bracket in , then ran the material / then mounted the amp having the material between the amp and the mdf..
I will work on it some more tonight.. im sure i can get the material near the top of seat in there properly.

I think that's a nice install for an Olds. And Olds have been somewhat 'ghetto' for years anyways.
If you get the amp area as tight as the back deck it will really clean it up.
Cool amp to show off.
I like it
