My dilemma, running two amps- need advice.

Hey guys Im a new member here, i love this site its so informative and the people are great. I have decided to do a stereo upgrade in my car, i got very lucky and got a lot of my stuff cheap, including 15 feet of Connections(audison) power wire 4guage with fuse.

I will be running two amps a mtx JH300( which was free from my bro) and a kenwood Xr-4S. The kenwood will power Hertz energy Dsks, sub will pwr a singe 10 at 4 ohms. Max rms the system will put out is around 900 or 90 amps.

My question is will i be okay running 4 guage wire to a distro block, then two short 8guage to amps, run will be pretty short because im putting the amps under the seats in a hatch back honda. The 4 guage wire was FREE with a audison distribution block and fuse, so could i use that and be safe or do I have to spend alot of money for heavier guage wire?

What would you do? THANKS

If it's just a short distance, I'd run 8awg from the block. It should be safe...

I'd say run the biggest wire u can it leaves room for future upgrades. Also, u can get zero guage wire for fairly cheap online u just have to look around

Under seats is only spot i can put them. I use my hatch all the time as im a big hunter and fisher, but unfortunately cant afford a big SIerra lmao. This 2002 civic sir is doing me quite well lots of room, my rear seats are always folded down, that is why i cant put anything back there. I know its not the best spot but it shall do.

I can't see anything wrong with puting amps underneath your seats, Would be even faster to adjust them as well!
