Need Help with Alpine Power Pack Install

I recently installed the Alpine KTP-445U Power Pack Amp and a Kenwood DDX470 deck in my 2012 Jeep Wrangler. There a 2 issues that are on my mind from when I was doing the install that I'm not 100% sure are correct. Hopefully someone on here can help me out.

- I was a little confused by the blue wires on the amp harnesses. There is a blue wire on both harness ends of the alpine amp. I wasn't sure which one was the remote wire so I wired both to the remote wire coming out of the head unit harness. Will this hurt anything? I buttoned everything up and tested it out and everything works great so far.

- Also I used RCA connections from the headunit to the amp. Then ran the speaker wires out of the amp into the aftermarket adapter harness which is connected to the vehicle's main harness - this bypasses the speaker wires on the kenwood head unit harness. Is this right? Sorry I'm a total noob when it comes to car audio. Thanks for any help!
