this is the sub

AW1251T
12” NATURAL SOUND WOOFER
45 oz. Strontium Magnet
Power Handling: 400 watts R.M.S.
Frequency Response: 24Hz - 1kHz
Efficiency: 92.1 dB
PHAT Foam Surround
Non- Pressed, Non-Transfer Paper Cone
KM3’ Coated for Virtually No Cone Distortion
2” 4-Layer ASV Voice Coil
Dual 4 Ohm
2 Ohm or 8 Ohm Operation
Mounting Dimensions: Depth; 5 1/4” Hole; 10 7/8” Diameter; 12 1/2”
Lug Lock Terminals

what type of enclosure would I need, right now I got a 1.0 cu. sealed and the sub is ok. Would it be better if I put it into a ported box that I made for my old 12" Vega, (its a big box)

http://www.audiobahninc.com/tech/200..._box_specs.pdf Looks like for sealed they recommend between 1-2 cubes, for ported it looks like 1.3-3.15 cubes. Have to measure out the ported box you have and see if it will work. Good luck.
