New battery help.

I am going to buy a new battery for my truck this weekend, what should I look for, what is the most important thing to look for in a battery that will power my system properly. CCA, Battery Load Test Amps, or Battery Reserve Capacity? Should I pay the extra for a AMG battery, it is under my hood so I dont think I should need a sealed battery. Thanks for the help.

I have a 1992 Toyota extra cab 4x4, I am running a MMATS 2100.2 and 1 12" Incriminator Audio Death Penalty, and a Alpine MRV-450 with 2 Incriminator Audio 6.5 comps. My system seems to be running fine off the battery I have but when I turn it up my alt gauge does alot of jumping back and forth, I figured a new battery might do the job. I was going to add a second battery but according to MMATS home page, I only need one battery for what I am running.

A Yellow Top Optima battery would be fine for your application, but also do the the Big 3 upgrade. This will help the system considerably, especially for the year of the vehicle.

I think the big 3 may have already been done, it was already pre wired for the amps when I bought it, who ever had the truck had i system in it before, they already had the big + and - wires and RCA cables ran under the seats for two amps. I will have to look but I think it has already been done. Will the Yellow top battery keep my alt gauge more stable at volume?

As long as the big 3 has been done, yes.

Sounds like your altinator is not up to the task you need it do, if I remember correctly those little toyota truck only have an 80amp altinator in them, so also to put a 100 - 120amp one in this should eliminate any problems that you are have. Try this and let me know.
