Hey all

I was working in a friends car the other day and turn the car on, no faceplate on the deck (Blaupunkt Key West Cd169), and the thing starts to play the disc in it????
I flipped the face holder down and ejected the disc and popped new one in and it played right away. I have never seen a deck do this and wonder if it's normal? He told me it does the same thing with the radio. There is no control over volume tuning/track though since there is no face.

Has anyone come across this before?

yeah i've seen some sonys do that.

 

Yeah the Panasonic I had did if you held in a tiny button or put a piece of tape over it, handy for when I forgot my faceplate in the house and I didnt want to go in to get it.
