optima?
well i replaced the little battery in my neon today.
with the optima i got.
FRIED all my ground wires. and before anyone says anything i installed it properly.
pos to pos nag to neg
now my car is at a repair shop. waiting to get fixed.
Dont know what it will cost to get everything fixed.
the conections were only on for a second or two.
until i saw the smoke and emediatly removed the connections.

Just to let you know, it's almost impossible that your Optima caused this.
Unless this particular battery was somehow ****ed up beyond belief, it's not possible for it to lead to any kind of smoke, etc. by itself.
What you're describing sounds like an electrical short, which is usually either caused by improper installation or worn insulation on some wires.
So don't be afraid of putting in an Optima if you have a neon [img]smile.gif[/img]
