Power Problems
I just bought a new sub and amp and hooked them up using the existing wires off the old subs
but the problem is is that the amp gets no power
i've used a test bulb and the power wire seems to be working, thena minute later its not
without moving any of the car parts it will turn off
i've checked the grounding wire but i cant seem to get power to go to my amp

i have checked the fuse a couple times and it comes loose a little bit evry so often
i'm thinking it might be a break in the wire
i think i'm gonna get a new kit and run the wire from the battery right outside the car to the amp and see if its working before i wire it all

Was your old sub factory or aftermarket?
Did your old subs work?
Is your new gear NEW?
What kind of Car?
The power your checking, is it Batt+ Or Rem?

If its just the power wire loosing power than that narrows it down alot.
-Fuse (justy cauz it looks good doesnt mean it is. Replace it with a new one)
-Fuse holder. Sometimes they can have bad contacts (comes loose like you said) Meter on both sides of the fuse holder to determine.
-Connection to battery. Sometimes the connection to the battery can become corroded, and stop conducting electricity.
-connection to amp. Sometimes people dont strip enough wire back when inserting the wire into the amp. Then the set screw, screws into the rubber casing, and bam, problem city.
NOTE: When metering ALWAYS have the system running. Sometimes a connection can go bad and show +12v at rest. But as soon as a load is introduced the circut will drop to +4V.
