Question about taking part of a system out

I'm selling my old car which I put a stereo in consisting of:

Kenwood Excelon 492 H/U
Two Jbl's in the front doors and two x9's in the back
2 12" jbl subs
2 amps for the speakers/subs
A capacitor

Now, I might be selling the car with just the Deck, and 4 speakers. My question is, would it still play normally (minus the missing parts) if I took everything else out, or would I have to get it re-wired (for just the speakers running off the deck)?

Thanks for any info!

it would have to be rewired. Though it would be quite simple.

Short answer is yes you will have to rewire. You will need to take the wires going to the speakers from the amp and run them to the deck instead of the amp.
