Question: How do I deaden my interiior
Ok, I know how to apply my deadening ... what I want to know is what do I do with the pocket-lint looking stuff.
Situation is that I ermoved my carpet to see if there was water under there ... which there was. So, the carpeting came out and with it came the pocket lint looking material which is saturated with water. Now, the carpet is being salvaged, the factory "heavy rubber with foam on the bottom" is being thrown out.
Now, do I need to keep the pocket linty stuff? I really don't want to. If possible, I would rather put more layers of the deadening mat I have.

Carpet store for new underlay; I like that. Worst case scanario I remove the foam for now and pull the imnterior once again to install the foam ... the interior comes out in about 45 minutes nw that I have done it so many times
.
Thanks for the advice, it's very appreciated.

I had to junk the carpet from the Hearse cuz it was a total swamp. I replaced the factory fiber tupe underlay with foam home underlay from Rona. Easy and economical.
An auto upholsterer acquaintance of mine warned that the foam stuff does not let water that gets underneath it evaportate and can be more detrimental than the fiber stuff. I rustproofed the floor before it went in so no worries.

In my situation:
I found the floor was still in good condition relatively but the fuzzy was a writeoff. As such, I scrapped the foam and deadened the floorpan after grinding off the rust.
The leak will be fixed ASAP as I believe I have traced it's source. The dash will need to come off to fix it, sadly enough, so that will be another day. I would suggest fixing the leak beforehand as my method isn't perfect by any means.
