Question regarding Dual Voice Coils

Hey guys,

I'm a huge noob when it comes to car audio so i'm here seeking some advice...

i'm about to purchase an Infinity Reference 10" Car Subwoofer (1052W) which has 4-ohm Dual Voice Coils and runs 250 watts rms....

The amp that i'm getting to hook up to this is a MTX MXA3002 with 300 Watts RMS x 1 channel bridged at 4 ohms...

First of all, will the amp be strong enough to power the subwoofer at its maximum power?

Secondly, I know there are a few different ways to wire DVC's, so i'm just wondering what would be the better option in this case.. series, parralel or one wire?

Lastly, just want to ask if theres anything i should know before i go ahead and get someone to install this system for me... anything that i should mention to the guy installing it, other than how it should be wired (which i'm hoping you guys will help me answer)..

Any input is appreciated!!

you can't wire dual 4 Ohm VC's to 4 Ohm, wrong amp for this application. That amp wont like a 2 Ohm bridged load.

any that will do around 400x1 at 2 Ohms, or, if you haven't bought the sub yet, try to get the single 4 Ohm voice coil version (if it exists)

and no, you dont need a two channel, mono will be fine.

If you like MTX amps try the TC4001 mono block 400w x 1 at 2ohm.
