i have two..

Alpine Type S 10" 2ohm DVC Subs.

The guy at the car audio shop told me to wire it to .5 ohms.
I'm still unfamiliar with wiring and was wondering if anyone would know
how i should wire them. I don't even think the amp can handle .5 ohms, doesn't even list it on the website.

You're correct. The amp cant handle .5 ohm and whoever told you that should be shot. Wire it to 2 ohms but be careful as that is a LOT of power for those subs.
