Remote Bass Boost Control Wires
I have an Audiobahn Remote bass boost control that I want to wire into a system.
Can you use a cord designed for a telephones handset? The ends are the same, they plug into the amp and the remote, but I wanted to make sure the wires were not switched around somehow.
When I was looking at crimping up my own wires, the instructions stated that for a handset you reverse wires at each end. Is that the same situation for Audiobahn's wire?
Thanks,
Brad

Remote gains are not interchangeable between amplifier brands. You may risk damage to the amplifier.
Try to find a schematic for the original remote gain on the amp in question and make sure the one you have is identical internally.

The remote is designed for this amp. They are both Audiobahn. All I need to know is if the cord from a telephone handset (smaller jack then regular phone)can be used or if you have to use the Audiobahn connection wire.

Thanks guys. I finally got a reply back from Audiobahn about the cord. Of course they say that I should only use their official cord. That is what I expected to hear from them. They would not verify that the pins were wired the same.
Thanks again,
Brad
