Question

I'm redoing my trunk in my new car, so I am going to do some custome subs in the trunk. I have Rockford HE 12".

Fs - 29Hz
Qts - 0.533
Vas - 86.3L
Xmax - 13mm

I have the rest of the specs for it, if any one else is interested. I'm just not sure what to build here. I hear so many different ways people use. I want the feel of the low bass. That is my fav. when you can't hear it, just feel it. IS ported the only way to go for that?
But the Qts is high, so people say sealed. I'm reading about all of this, but if someone would like to help that would be awsome.

using winisd comparing a 3cft sealed to 3cft ported.

for sealed qtc=.76 -3db=40hz

for ported -3db=28hz tuned to 30hz

port 3"dia x 4.42" length

or 4"dia x 8.84" length

The ported box had a peak rise of 2.65db at 46 hz
The sealed was -1.54db at 46hz

I was just going through WinISD right now. I never heard of that program, but wow. Hats off to the people that programmed that. I can clearly see how well ported works better then sealed, and it even gives you the box sizes.
Thanks for taking the time to run some numbers.
