Roof dampening looking for thoughts
Hey,
This is in my 1996 Ford F150 Regular cab,
Now the roof is a 2 layer job the steel outer skin and a steel inner skin with about 3/4" to 1" of space between them.
Do you think this will work for mellowing out the vibrations
I am thinking of pulling down the headliner and drilling holes on about a 12" grid pattern into the roof. then injecting expanding foam into said holes (low expansion stuff)
that should effectively link the 2 sheets into one mass that will resist vibration
Thoughts?
I would like to stay away from using a product like brownbread or dynamat between the headliner and roof.
