I have a a sealed box with some air leaks in it. Since its a custom box already carpeted i need to find a way to seal it from the inside. Silicon is to hard to work with in such a small area. I heard using fiberglass resin works but it seems expensive. Does anyone have any cheap idea's to fix this? There is only a 10" hole to work in so its kind of a tight space to work in.

do you know where the air is leaking from? from a specific spot or just the joints in general?

I'd use 'no more nails' in the squeeze tube and get in there the best you can. Squeeze some on your covered finger and it in the edges.

I'll give the 'no more nails' idea a go. It a poorly built box but i don't have the time to make a new one at the moment so hopefully this works

Fiberglass kitty hair or Bondo (which is a lil cheaper)

Plastic wood is also a good choice, it dries quick and is hard as a rock. It's pretty cheap also $4.99 at Home depot.

Use silicone that comes in the squeeze tubes. There only about 8" long and easy to reach most areas in the box.
