How To Seal a Port in a Box?
I apologize for the silly question, but I have a ported box for my sub.
I want to have it sealed.
Can I seal this port to make the box like a sealed box?
If so, how? I can't find any information online.
Thanks,
Marco

if its a circular port id remove the aero so theres just the hole then run pieces of duct tape across the hole...turn the box so the duct tape is facing down then puddle the hole with resin from the inside. Once its dry rip off the tape.

i would think if u were to do that and it sealed properly you would still have to deal with the problem of the air space in the box being too big, i suppose u could try filling some of the volume but in the end i would just buy or make a new box, just my oppinion.

Plug it with some foam and listen, its not completely sealed but it will give you an idea of how it will sound. You can even leave the foam if you like it, its more like an aperiodic damping device which you may or may not like. Other than that, i would just build a sealed box to specification of your sub.
You can buy a foam block for around $5 at WallFart in the textile section.
