Some questions (i.e. wiring and where to buy stuff)

Hey guys,

I have some 12 Gauge wiring just laying around and needed to know if it would be sufficient in hooking up a 1200-1500 W system. From what I've been reading I should be using 10 gauge, but I really don't want to have to get up and spend more money. It's an Elemental Designs 13Av.2 (2-ohm). If I have to I'll end up spending the money, but if the 12 gauge will do I would be more than happy.

Also, I am looking for a place to get some reducers. The wiring I have going to the back of my car is 0/1 gauge and I need a 0-4 gauge reducer. I have stumbled upon darvex.com, but the shipping there is over and beyond the worth of the part. Do I have any other options? It would be cool to find a shop where I could do all of my shopping when it comes to accessories. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

What length you need between the sub and amp?

I bought my reducer at a local electronics parts store.

I have about 16ft of 4GA wire for sale - cheap ie. $20 and I'm going to be Markham this weekend.

I might have some reducers if you want to go that route. Just PM me

I might have a reducer for you and it will fit in a envelope, if the envelope is able to fit through the slot, it will be like .75 max for shipping.
