Stock speaker wireing
Stock speaker wireing
Due to my lack of funds i am currently running my speaks off the deck using the stock wireing.....which in my car is really crappy like 20 gauge or somehting like that and then even smaller for the last few feet through the doors...i had almsot the same speaks hooked up in my truck before off the same deck and i noticed the stereo was alot louder and sounded wayyyy better right now im getting very little volume and super flat sound as well as terrible distortion at like 45/60 on the volume
my speakers are not blown i checked that already and they sound fine at lower volumes (clear, lots of bass, etc)
im going to upgrade the wiring this weekend anyway as i am hoping to get an amp soon but could this lack of good sound be caused by the stock wiring? or could it be a problem with my deck??? i had stock wireing on my old install (although it was 18 gauge wire all the way) and it sounded great off the deck...
