I have 2 - 15" RF dvc 4ohm subs
Want to run my mono block amp at 4ohms for now till i upgrade the wireing.

how do I wire them up for a 4 ohm load on the amp as I don't want to go under at this time.

Wire each of the subs voice coils in series, and then run the two subs in parallel... or wire each of the coice coils in parallel and then wire the subs in series.

 

OK thanks guys thats exactly what i wanted just wanted to make sure.
Don't want to dammage my new amp right off the bat.

 

I would wire the coils in series and then the subs in parallel. I personally like doing this because then both the subs have direct access to the amp for its power, and not having to go through the other sub to get power. Its really a personal preference. I know other people that like to have their subs in series because if one sub blows, then it saves the other sub by cutting the power to it. Just some stuff to consider when you deside.

 

I should also say. The blown speaker protection may sound good. But the subs must be loaded the EXACT same way or the subs wont share the power on any differences in their frequency responce. Putting two different kinds of sub in series is a big no-no.
