Stupid Noob

yep, that's me. Just picked up my speakers (Pioneer TS-C160R's for the front and TS-D161R's for the back) and my amp (GM6300F) and got a screaming deal on them so now I gotta start thinkin about the install. I wanna bypass ALL the factory wiring and start from scratch. I've been poking around Monster's website but I'm trying to keep this as budget concious as I can. Who other than Monster makes good install gear? I'm going to be doing it myself which won't be a problem. I know my vehicle inside and out and deal with wiring and electrical almost every day I'm at work so I'm not concerned about actually DOING it but I wanna make sure I do it right. I'm running 60 watts per channel so I'm assuming 16 gauge wire is going to be fine for the speakers. My current head unit only has one set of preouts and I have NO idea what the voltage is. As far as the amp install goes what am I gonna need there? Sorry for the questions but I gotta ask

Monster's stuff is SO OVERPRICED! Not worth the cash for the "quality". Some of the advertisers on this forum have good prices on amp kits.

I kinda got the feeling that Monster was a bit overpriced but wanted to double check with you guys. I noticed that futureshop carries a lot of Stinger kits so I'll go check them out when I get back home in June. Any other brands anyone recommends?
