My 12s showed up.... finally.

I've got two quick questions with basic answers that i just dont know.

This is how im wiring them together, off one amp, which can handle it.

How the ... do i connect the wires before they meet the amp? or can i just use longer wire and go directly to the amp with both?

As for my other question, do i REALLY need to break my subs in? I've read mixed opinions, just like everything else, but will it help or wreck my subs if i just blast em off the hop?

The diagram is showing the coils of the subs wired in a parallel connection (positive to positive), and both subs are paralleled together to the amp (again positive to positive). If each coil is 8ohm, then your amp will have to be able to handle a 2ohm mono load.
To answer your first question, you can make the last parallel connection (the WTF part) at the amp; just keep it positive to positive and negative to negative. As for your second question if everything is connected correctly and your gains are set, let it rip.

thanks, you're a monster

I didn't point out up there but the subs are dual 4 ohm, and it will equal a 1 ohm load, which my amp can handle.

=) im going to go have a load of fun, and ill take some pics.

as well if it matters, what guage wire should I use when wiring them into parallel? simple speaker wire would be fine or should I use something bigger? the holes look like they could fit maybe 12 guage or 10

i have last years TSW spl subs and i can squeeze 8 gauge into them but 10 would suffice. Also let me know how the new years models run on that maxxsonics amp. im thinking of a similar setup

so far they sound pretty sick. I have the boost an half gain because I did the math and my alternator can't put out enough amps to keep my battery charged. I'm getting a 250a today and then ill change the boost a bit.

so far so good, i've turned heads at every intersection and the girls love it
