Subs Problem

hey, i just bought new audoibahn subs and i just intalled them and they work good except....... when i start turning them up louder it will play loud for a sec or 2 then the subs will just STOP!!! and 2 or 3 seconds later they will start back up again is this because my altinator in my car cant give the subs the power they need to be played louder and i need a capasitor to make the system work at full power without cutting out please someone tell me if that is the problem or if something else is wrong Thanks

what kind amp/subs are they and how do you have them wired?

Sounds like your amp shutting down

i have 2 audiobahn aw121t 12" in a sealed box a audiobahn 1500 rms amp 2 channel and my subs r wired in a parrelle 2 ohm curcuit

are your subs each wired to a separate channel at 2ohms? or Is the amp bridged to 1 channel, and your running the subs at 2ohms? Most 2channel amps will not run bridged at 2ohms. Double check your wiring scheme, and make sure you're not showing the amp too low of an impedance.
