I had a 7977 in the day and it both was too bright and didn't fit the dash trim colour. I like to have some balance and not something that's going to take my eyes off the road.

For the one going off on a tangent as to my "obvious" reply, what may have been missed was the little '.' of indifference.

If your worried about it bein to bright the Alpine decks come with Blackout Features [img]tongue.gif[/img] believe it or not though my Kenwood deck that I used to have was quite bright at night. Brighter than the Alpine though it had more lights on it lol

You know what? Blackout feature is my FAVOURITE part of the deck cosmetics. I wish every deck had blackout mode.

in the third model up kenwood and up you get adjustable brightness as well as illumination on and off

Works for me. Try right clicking the X and choose "properties" then select the URL text and copy and paste it into your browser.
