The funniest part is, none of the people the interviewed really seem like they know ANYTHING.

they do seem quite "unsophisticated" dont they and maybe they havent heard some really well done 15" subwoofers, ive heard 15" systems are are embarassing, i gueass it all depends on your reference

Exactly, I mean with a good box design you can get a speaker to do one thing really well, but to have good low frequency extension, sound quality, and high output, will require more than just a good box design.

Ah yes the mysterious 'variant' [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

And while I never bothered to view that video the one I have seen has a ZR1000 in the car but the fellows state they are using a '200watt Kenwood' and not the Kicker.

There's a multitude of box designs out there but mostof them have drawbacks that exclude them mostly from car audio use in most cases.
