I want to decide how to light the SOB.
options are as follows

1)regular neon
2) single LED's
3) LED bars (similar to neon but with LED's duh)
4)stock single white bulb..lol. NOT AN OPTION

Opinions?

Go to Automotive Warehouse and see what they have in stock. If you do go let me know so I can take a picture of your car parked out front.

funny guy...
i'm thinkin that i may just re-use the neon that i have from my interior in the trunk.. cost-effective

might add some LED's though... we'll see

still open to opinions guys

I would shy away from neon due to EMI and RFI issues. Neon is noisy physically and electrically and I would not want it around my stereo. I like LEDs myself because they are DC and that lends itself to an easy power supply from a 12vdc car and they have a long life (10,000 to 100,000 hours) but a fiber optic lighting system will give you much more flexibility!
(this is a cut a paste from another thread on acrylic boxes)
